DR. STEVEN HORWITZ, DMD

What Made You Want to Become a Dentist?
The main thing that made me want to become a dentist is the influence of my grandfather, as well as other family members, who encouraged me to pursue a career in the medical sciences. They showed me the joy and sense of fulfillment that can be derived from helping others live better, healthier lives.

What Do You Love About Practicing?
What I love about practicing dentistry is the opportunity to help others live happier, healthier, and more confident lives. I also absolutely love working with my hands and merging the art and science of dentistry to achieve an excellent and long last result.

Fun Fact About You?
A fun fact is that I was a scratch golfer by the age of fifteen!

What Do You Enjoy Doing When Not at Work?
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, eating (I consider myself a big foodie), and playing golf.

Why The Paradise of FL?
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. I moved to the US when I was 10 years old but my country of birth left a permanent mark and very much shaped me into the person I am today. I have an incredible love and appreciation of other cultures, as well as for this amazing country that I live in today!

DR. CHRISTINA NISIVOCCIA

Dr. Christina Nisivoccia is originally from Nutley, NJ. She spent her undergraduate years at the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduation, she returned back to New Jersey where she attended Rutger’s School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ. While in dental school Dr. Christina developed a love for cosmetic dentistry and participated in many esthetic dentistry courses to excel her education. After finishing school, she relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL where she plans on staying. Since graduating dental school, Dr. Christina has continued to further her education through continuing education courses and remains an active member in the Broward County Dental Association. She has also gained her certification in neurotoxins and dermal fillers, making therapeutic and cosmetic botox an exciting addition to her practice.

What Made You Want to Become a Dentist?
I have always enjoyed talking to new people and genuinely love helping people feel their best! Dentistry helps me combine the two!

What Do You Love About Practicing?
I love the ability to change someone’s life. The difference a beautiful smile can make is truly breathtaking.

Fun Fact About You?
I grew up singing and acting in theater until I was in college. I thought music was going to be my career path for the longest time.

What Do You Enjoy Doing When Not At Work?
I love to workout, go to the beach, and try new restaurants!

Why The Paradise of FL?
I was never a fan of the cold. I grew tired of New Jersey winters very quickly and always knew I would end up somewhere that stayed warm year-round. I do miss my family in New Jersey very much but now they have a beautiful place to experience when they come visit me!
